Sue Maartens has been Principal at Bonginkosi in Khayelitsha for 30 years. She recollects the day that the Educare was official opened, “The July 4th, 1988 will be a day I will never forget. The Mayor of Khayelitsha and other dignitaries officially opened the school. The school was named Bonginkosi (Thank you God).”
